Teacher
The position will supervise and support adult males in custody in a correctional facility classroom at the James River Correctional Center, which is a medium security facility. This position is a 40 hour per week, Monday through Friday, year-round position.
Duties and Tasks
Instruct students enrolled in the adult basic education classes and other elective courses.Counsel and tutor students, as necessary.Participate in teacher meetings, teacher in-service, and other required meetings,Keep records and collect program data.Communicate with stakeholders on programming.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of educational programming, good communication skills, ability to work effectively with adults in custody on a daily basis, and ability to function well as a team member. Must be able to successfully complete an interview, standard background and criminal record check. A bachelor's degree in a teaching field and a North Dakota Teaching Certificate are preferred.

Administrative Assistant

Transportation Engineer Team Lead
As a Transportation Engineer Manager Team Lead you will Provide engineering oversite on all construction projects in the Bismarck District and keep the ADE & DE informed of progress on all projects. Oversee all plan development within the District.Primary Duties Include:Employee Supervision: Supervise Engineering Technicians, Transportation Engineers, Project Managers, and maintenance employees or temporary employees performing inspection duties, materials testing and surveying to ensure construction projects completed in accordance with contract requirements. Schedule work assignments that offer diversity of work to provide and maintain interest and enthusiasm for work environment. Conduct safety meetings to ensure awareness of working conditions such as working within heavy traffic areas and around heavy motorized construction equipment and taking proper precautions to maintain a safe working environment. Provide proper training for personnel on departmental policies, inspection and materials testing procedures. Supervise employees who are preparing and developing district plans and concept reports. Complete Employee Appraisals. Document employee performance throughout the year meeting with the employee a minimum of once every three months. Review the positive and negative aspects of an employee's performance and their progress towards meeting their goals. Schedule work activities for construction staff during winter months.Bismarck / Mandan City Contact: Be the primary contact for the Bismarck, Mandan areas. MPO/TAC representative for the District. Project management of DOT projects within the Bismarck/Mandan cities as well as project oversight of LPA projects. Supervise the signing, traffic signals and street lighting within the cities on state roadways. Work with landowners, utility companies, developers, within the Bismarck Mandan area on permits. May include driveway permits, utility permits, agreements to work in right of way, or others. Review the permitted work in the field for compliance and close out when completed. Maintain district files and records. Conduct Transit facility inspections.Construction Project Reviews: Conduct field and documentation reviews of State and County projects run by DOT, consultant, or county staff. In the field review items such as traffic control, construction methods, sampling and testing, and compliance with plans and specs. Records reviews include materials certifications, PQEs, sampling and testing frequency, pay estimates, labor compliance, and other items. Conduct in depth CERT reviews of at least 10% of the district projects per year. Review staffing, SWPPP and environmental permits, CARS documentation and consultant estimates.Construction Design and Finals: Review project finals, review PSE plans, and complete district designs and environmental documentation.
