The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide In Home and Foster Care case management to children and families in Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone (Barnes & Stutsman Counties). You may also be required to provide these services in other zones. This will include: Providing case management and foster care services to families utilizing the Safety Framework Practice Model and the FRAME computer systemProvide crisis intervention as needed to maintain family stabilityAttend requested training or other staff development opportunitiesBe on call for emergencies on a rotation basisMaintain open communication with other agency staff and other service providersRefer children and families to other agency services such as prime time childcare, respite services, financial services, and parent aide servicesProvide transportation for clients

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, elementary education, early childhood education, special education, child development and family science, human resource management (human service track), or criminal justice, and two years of professional human services work experiences as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager. A Master's degree in one of the areas above may substitute for one year of the work experience requirement. If no qualified applicants are found, we will consider under-filling this position as a Family Service Specialist I - with a minimum salary of $4800.00 per month. Minimum qualifications require a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, elementary education, early childhood education, special education, child development and family science, human resource management (human service track), or criminal justice, and one year of professional human services work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager; or a Master's degree in one of the areas above. Individuals may be required to work non-traditional work hours. The ability to visit persons in their own homes and providing transportation for clients using the employee's own transportation is required for this position. A criminal background check and a driver's record check will be performed prior to employment.This position requires proof of adequate vehicle insurance

South Central Human Service Center - Jamestown, ND - Crisis Services TherapistBe part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a Disability Advocate you must have a passion for ensuring equality and inclusion of people with disabilities. You will provide information, assistance, and advocacy on disability-related, legal rights issues to people with disabilities; you will investigate alleged abuse and neglect; and provide training and outreach to people with disabilities, parents, guardians, service providers, and other professionals on disability rights issues. Occasional travel is required, including some overnight stays.

Duties and Tasks

Protective and Advocacy servicesReceives referrals regarding alleged rights violations of individuals with disabilities. Determines eligibility based on federal program, P&A eligibility criteria, and priorities.Works with the client to fulfill unmet disability-related needs and rights violations. Receives reports of suspected abuse, neglect, and exploitation (ANE) of individuals with disabilities.Investigates, collects, and reviews information to determine probable cause within timelines; completes required documentation and reports per P&A procedures and protocol.Training and outreachCollaborates with other P&A staff to develop training protocols in areas that include ANE, investigations, disability-related law and processes, advocacy, and other rights areas specific to individuals with disabilities.Collaborates with other P&A staff to develop and present trainings on disability-related topics to people with disabilities, professionals, parents, guardians, and others.Systems advocacyCollaborates with individuals with disabilities and advocacy organizations to develop strategies and advocate for positive systemic changes.Represents P&A on meetings, committees, workgroups, and task forces as requested, to address issues of concern to P&A.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in special education, sociology, or social work and three years of experience working with people with disabilities; ORBachelor's degree in any field, and four years of experience working with people with disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Work experience that involved advocating for people with a variety of disabilities including developmental disabilities, mental illness, physical disabilities and brain injury, to include co-occurring disabilities.Excellent understanding and knowledge of disability-related service delivery systems in ND.Work experience that required research, analysis, interpretation, and/or application of rules, regulations, statute, or complex policies. Work experience that required investigative type of duties.Work experience making presentations to a group.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.

This position is essential for coordinating administrative office functions and requires a high degree of responsibility and dependability.Key Responsibilities:Manage routine office tasks, including reference calls, work orders, and maintaining records.Schedule conference rooms and oversee purchasing activities for our organization.Coordinate performance reviews and other administrative functions.Handle incoming phone calls from various stakeholders, including the Governor's office, legislators, and the press.Complete essential applications and surveys, such as the annual hospital licensure application and census.Attend, record, transcribe, and distribute minutes for various monthly meetings.Support the Superintendent by scheduling appointments, typing correspondence, and travel arrangements.Supervise the Medical and Nursing Administrative staff, providing backup support as needed.Ensure continuous coverage in the Executive Leadership Suite and maintain the overall organization of the Administration Offices.To be considered for this position you are required to have the following: Education: Associate degree with an emphasis in office-related functions, or a high school diploma/GED.Experience: Four years of office support, clerical, or secretarial work experience; or six years of relevant experience if holding a high school diploma.Skills:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication skills.Why Join Us?
