This position (53-38-5691) serves as a Foster Care and In-Home Services Case Manager within the Children and Family Services work unit. The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to placement of children, case planning, referral to services, documentation, arranging and monitoring visitation, developing affidavits and attending court hearings and coordination of services to families. This position will cover cases in Burke and Renville Counties with some case coverage in Divide County. This position will cover on call for after-hours emergencies for Divide, Burke and Renville counties on a rotation with the other child welfare staff located in these three counties. Individuals may be required to work non-traditional work hours and be available for consultation to families. The ability to visit clients in the clients' home using their own transportation is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human services, human resource development (human service track), education, child development and family science or criminal justice, and two years of professional human services work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager. A Master's degree in one of the areas above may substitute for one year of the work experience requirement. If no qualified applicants are found, we will consider filling as a Family Services Specialist II (SC 7004).
