Geotechnical Drill Crew Intern - This internship will provide quality experience with highway materials testing, geotechnical exploration, and field data collection. This internship will provide field experience in geotechnical engineering and exploration. This is a field position that will require out of town travel and overnights. Safety and personal protective equipment along with travel expense reimbursement will be covered by the agency. Key Responsibilities include assisting with drilling operations for various projects, including linear soils surveys and deep foundation investigations, and assisting with landslide instrumentation installation and monitoring.Materials Testing Intern - This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in highway materials testing, geotechnical exploration, field data collection, engineering, and research. You will work closely with our team in the materials test lab, participating in various projects that contribute to the development and maintenance of essential infrastructure. Key Responsibilities include conducting tests and experiments on various materials used in highway construction and infrastructure projects, assisting with geotechnical exploration and field data collection activities, collaborating with engineers and researchers on ongoing projects related to materials testing and analysis, documenting and organizing data collected from testing procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
* Must be enrolled in an engineering technology or any civil/construction engineering undergraduate degree program.* Requires ability to lift and carry a total weight of up to 50 pounds.* Current valid Class D Driver's License for travel within the state of North Dakota.Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and a verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment.
