This position maintains responsibilities of a highly complex and sensitive nature and requires a high degree of knowledge, skills and passion in child welfare. Work activities involve decision making within parameters of approved policies and procedures, thorough, accurate and timely responses. This position also requires coordination with local service providers, law enforcement and legal entities as well as emergency response planning. Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position you must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, behavioral health or criminal just PLUS one of the following:Family Services Specialist III (SC7005)Two years of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker or professional case manager. A Master's Degree may substitute for one year of the work experience requirement.Family Services Specialist II (SC7004)One year of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker or professional case manager or a Master's Degree in one of the above areas.Family Services Specialist I (SC7004)No experience required. The successful applicant must pass a standard background, motor vehicle and criminal record check. Must complete Child Welfare certification.Individuals may be required to work some non-traditional hours. Because this position requires some transportation of clients, a valid ND Driver's License is required and the employee must have their own automobile and adequate insurance.
