Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have the following minimum qualifications at the time of the interview:Bachelor's degree Current ND Educator's Professional Licensure or ability to obtain this license upon being hired.Endorsed, credentialed, or qualified to teach in Social Studies and one or more of the following secondary subject areas: Physical Education, Mathematics, Science, or English. At least three years of teaching experience.At least one year of experience delivering instruction in a learning management system (LMS)In addition to the minimum qualifications, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:Proficiency in using and integrating technology in educational settingsSelf-directed problem solver with a student-centered approachExhibit professionalism in communicationsAbility to set professional goals based on student outcomes and identify and engage in ongoing professional development and other measurable steps to reach them Willingness to serve on committeesWillingness to quickly adopt to a dynamic education environment, frequently changing to improve quality and respond to stakeholder needsWillingness to coach and support other teachers in content area(s)Willingness and ability to obtain additional teaching credentialsWillingness to teach in the summer

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to individuals:Experience coaching and assessing students using a competency-based framework (e.g., Marzano)Experience mentoring other teachersExperience teaching for a virtual schoolMultiple endorsements/credentials on teacher licensure; preference will be given to candidates for each area in which they possess endorsements/credentials in the areas listed under the minimum qualificationsNorth Dakota resident

Under the direction of the LMS Coordinator, the LMS Technical Support Specialist will provide a broad range of support services related to the digital curriculum offered by NDCDE, the organization's Learning Management System (LMS) and all related technical infrastructure used by NDCDE to deliver courses and related educational services. These support services are provided to both internal and external customers and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in technology or related field or a combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.A minimum of three years' experience supporting a LMS in an educational setting.High degree of broad technical aptitude.Ability to communicate technical solutions in a friendly and clear manner to a non-technical audience.Ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, including teachers and IT professionals, to carry out the position's scope of work.Ability to troubleshoot at a high, independent, and consistent level.Proficient in Office 365 applications.Proficient in Adobe services.Support NDCDE's mission and can model its values.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Buzz Learning Management System. Experience integrating and testing curriculum in a learning management system. Knowledge of universal web design concepts for faculty and students with disabilities.

Under the direction of the director of curriculum, this position will support and assist with assigned curriculum and Learning Management System (LMS) aspects of NDCDE. This position creates detailed, engaging curriculum and quality resources, collaborates with teachers and the leadership team, and aligns learning objectives. The online curriculum designer is passionate about learning and aware of how digital technology has reshaped education, with a vision and ability to play an integral role in a seamless online course experience and satisfaction for internal and external end-users. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Structure content and activities for optimizing learning. Convert curriculum materials from various digital formats into an LMS. Investigate and recommend potential new providers and courses for NDCDE. Collaborate with teachers to customize/develop content. Ensure content matches established standards. Make corrections and update settings and instructions to third party and NDCDE-authored online courses, as needed. Prepare and maintain program and system documentation. Participate in the ongoing course correction process to ensure NDCDE's courses are properly presented and maintained to optimal state of the art standards. Provide information and guide decisions based on curriculum adoption. Provide support when needed to solve Curriculum-LMS related tickets.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in education or related discipline. At least two years' experience working within an LMS. A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. At least two years' experience designing and virtualizing curriculum and content. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Strong planning skills, vision, and creative intelligence. Ability to think independently, exercise initiative, collaborate on resolution strategies, and effectively implement solutions. Thorough and applied understanding of state standards and the alignment process. Evaluation and assessment skills, including collecting and using data on student and instructional performance to drive curricular improvement. Supports NDCDE's mission and can model its values.

Preferred Qualifications

A master's degree in curriculum design. Additional post-secondary training in curriculum design or a related area. Experience with HTML5 and other web-based languages preferred. Experience teaching virtually and applying best practices in virtual instruction.
