The North Dakota Beef Commission is seeking a Collection and Compliance Specialist to join our team! The North Dakota Beef Commission (NDBC) is the state agency responsible for collecting and investing Beef Checkoff dollars for promotion, research and education of beef and beef products. The commission's main focus is driving demand of beef for North Dakota beef producers. NDBC is governed by a producer-led board which focuses on strengthening consumer trust and surpassing consumer expectations.The Collection & Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring North Dakota beef producers stay compliant with both state and federal beef checkoff laws. In North Dakota a $2 Beef Checkoff assessment is collected each time cattle change ownership. This position involves managing financial reporting for the beef checkoff, working with livestock markets, dealers, packers, individuals, and other collection points.Preferred skills include Customer relations skills over the phone, researching records, Compliance letter writing, Maintaining database records, Discretion, and Team mentality.To be considered for this position you will need an associate degree in office, business, or customer service field with 2 years of related work experience or High school diploma or GED and 3 years of related work experience. Must be able to lift heavy boxes (up to 50 pounds) and have a valid driver's license.Location & Hours This position works from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday in office with an occasional evening or weekend. Travel may be required occasionally in the state and possibly out of the state. This position is located in Bismarck, ND.
