We strive to improve the quality of life of the people of North Dakota, to broaden the State's economic base, create new wealth and generate quality jobs for our people.The Department of Commerce is seeking a Global Talent Coordinator to fulfill a critical role in supporting and implementing the goals of the Office of Legal Immigration, which was created through SB 2142 by the 68th Legislative Assembly. This position involves significant collaboration and outreach as it relates to the recruitment, hiring, and acclimation of global talent in ND businesses and communities. As the Global Talent Coordinator, you will:Support the state's global talent strategy.Conduct ongoing research efforts to determine how the state can best support businesses that are hiring global talent.Help develop recruitment strategies for immigrants already in the United States.Administer a grant program that promotes workforce participation and community acclimation for New Americans and foreign-born workers.Identify new and emerging funding opportunities.Provide technical assistance to employers, worksites, and community organizations to support North Dakota's Office of Legal Immigration efforts.To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of an associate degree with six (6) years of similar or related experience OR a bachelor's degree with four (4) years of similar or related experience. This role requires strong oral and written communication skills, collaboration, adaptability, creative thinking, decision-making, and the ability to meet deadlines and drive projects forward. Some in-state and out-of-state travel will be required (20%).Location: Commerce has a central office location in Bismarck and this position will be working remotely from any North Dakota location.Hiring Salary Range: $5,904 - $6,643
