Career Description




This position will provide well rounded experience in the different areas of Bridge Division. These areas include preliminary engineering, hydraulic design (roadway and structural), bridge design, and structure management. You will gain experience completing scoping and environmental documents for upcoming bridge projects. You will also assist in determining the appropriate size of a bridge based on hydraulic requirements. This position will also offer real world experience in bridge design and load rating design. You will be exposed to the NDDOT Bridge Inspection program and assist with QC/QA of inspections.

Minimum Qualifications

* Must be enrolled in an engineering technology or civil/construction engineering undergraduate degree program.* Preference will be given to those enrolled in a civil technology or engineering degree program.* Requires ability to lift and carry a total weight of up to 50 pounds.* Possession of a valid Class D Driver's License for travel within the state of North Dakota.Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process, successful completion of a job function screening and a verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment.
