Career Description




This position (36-03-5995) functions as one of the administrative support staff of the agency. The position will be located in Devils Lake but will require travel to other zone locations with a zone vehicle provided approximately three days per week. Position provides clients with appropriate information for application process, screen, and direct clients to appropriate staff for appointments and questions, maintain electronic schedule and check in sheet, keep lobby orderly and clean, maintain supply inventory, assemble application packets, process incoming and outgoing mail, filing and scanning documents, and other projects as requested. Provide great customer service to citizens in the community, provide information of economic assistance programs. Successful candidate will maintain a considerable knowledge of all programs offered in order to best assist clients. Confidential information will be handled on a daily basis and confidentiality must be maintained at all times and regular attendance is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma and two years of office support, clerical, or secretarial work experience. Coursework in a vocational office support or closely related program may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis if it provided the knowledge and skills required to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Proficiency in keyboarding, personal computer, specific software, grammar, or spelling skills.
