You will utilize the Wrap Around Case Management Services and the Safety Framework Practice Model to support children and families when abuse or neglect has occurred to prevent future maltreatment or foster care placement. Three Rivers Human Service Zone works to protect children and families by providing services and advocacy while promoting family stability, respecting diversity, and working to create and strengthen connections to community resources. We work to prevent abuse and neglect by providing education, resources and supports to parents, families, and community organizations. Three Rivers Human Service zone is seeking a committed passionate Foster Care/In-Home Case Manager to serve our Child & Family Services clients. Duties and Tasks:Foster Care/In-Home Manager Leads are responsible for assessing individual and family needs and providing appropriate case management services for children who still reside in the home: developing case plans, goals, and safety plans for caretakers and children to reduce the identified risk of child abuse or neglect. Case Manager Leads in this role are responsible for children 0-18 and can also case manage 18-21. In this role you will perform case management activities involving complex problems and cases, assess individual and family needs, develop appropriate services and/or treatment plans to reduce the identified risk of child abuse or neglect, conduct case planning meetings, and provide counseling, referral, and placement services. The case manager leads will complete written documentation, affidavits, and testify at court proceedings. In this role you will review court affidavits, train current and new employees, assist in crisis case work and provide case consultation. This position maintains responsibility of a highly complex and sensitive nature and requires a high degree of knowledge, skills and passion in child welfare. Work activities involve decision making with in parameters of approved policies and procedures, thorough, accurate and timely responses, as well as written documentation that complies with State and Federal Regulations. This position also requires coordination with local service providers, law enforcement and legal entities as well as emergency response planning. This role will require testifying in court proceedings. This position will require some afternoons and non-traditional working hours including on-call scheduling. Frequent travel throughout the Bismarck/Mandan area is required. To succeed in this position, you should have a passion for serving others and a desire to make a positive impact. You should be highly organized, maintain a strong attention to detail, be able to manage your time and priorities effectively, and have demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse populations.
Minimum Qualifications
You must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, behavioral health, nursing, or criminal justice. Plus:Family Service Specialist III (SC7005) Two (2) years of professional experience as a social worker, child protective services worker, or professional case manager. A master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of the work experience requirement.
