Help Printing Résumés

The new résumé printing system on jobsnd.com utilizes technology to ensure printing is done correctly independent of the computer you are using.

The problem could result from the security level on you browser by not allowing the scriptx plug-in to be installed. Depending on Security Policies you may have ActiveX Controls turned off. To check your settings, do the following:

  1. Bring up Internet Explorer
  2. Click on Tools in the menu bar
  3. Click on Internet Options
  4. Brings up Internet Options Window
  5. Click on Security Tab
  6. Click on Custom Level Bar
  7. Brings up Security Settings Window
  8. Check settings for ActiveX controls and plug-in must be set to Prompt
  9. Settings for Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins must be set to Allow

If you are still having trouble printing résumés, you will need to install the plug-in manually. Here's how:

  1. Go to http://www.meadroid.com/scriptx/sxdownload.asp and click on "ScriptX." Follow instructions on the site. Once you have downloaded the program, you will have a "zip" file.

    • What is a Zip File? Zip files are "archives" used for distributing and storing files. Zip files contain one or more files. Usually the files "archived" in a Zip are compressed to save space. Zip files make it easy to group files and make transporting and copying these files faster.

  2. Once you have located the zip file (scriptx.zip), you will have to uncompress it using a compression utility like WinZip or PKZip.

  3. Once the file is uncompressed, locate the files that were extracted and install by selecting "ScriptX.exe". This will start the installation.

  4. Answer the questions during the install to complete the installation.

  5. Once it is installed, you will not have to install this application again. Now when you print résumés, they will print correctly.
